In the latest ESPN Power Rankings, the Sox remain in the #1 spot.  The sox 66-42 record is still the best in baseball.  The Angels follow the Sox and then come the Mets...yes the Mets are 3rd.  The Mets 61-47 mark is good for the 3rd best record in baseball and the best in the National League.  The Yanks keep moving up, this time all the way to #4.  The Cubs fill out the top 5 and the Brewers dropped all the way to #17.

Again as usual the Sox deserve the #1 spot and with the addition of Gagne the Sox are the ML team to beat...world series here we come!!!  Then again it should be an interesting challenge this week as the Sox play the Mariners and Angels on the road.  Why the Mets are as high as 3rd I have no idea.  They are playing well, however and look like they are once again the favorites to have the best record in the NL, despite the Braves (#12) acquisitions at the Deadline.  Again the Yanks are OVERRATED....4th??? I dont think so.  The Indians and Tigers (#7 & #6) are still way better than the Yanks.
