Here are the trade deadline moves, news, and rumors of the day. This will take place through the trade deadline, Tuesday

TRADES

Tampa Bay Devil Rays trade former Met Ty Wiggington to the Houston Astros for RP Dan Wheeler

Tampa Bay Devil Rays trade Jorge Cantu and Shaun Cumberland to Reds for 2 minor league pitchers.

RUMORS

Mets are giving a look at Twins 2B Luis Castillo. They are also interested in Drays players, such as RP AL Reyes. Mets, along with the Padres are interested in Mark Loretta.

Mark Teixeira to Braves is now considered unlikely. The Angels remain interested.

Everyone is interested in Octavio Dotel. Expect him to be moved to the highest bidder.

Angels may consider making a push for Athletics C Mike Piazza.
