For a rare time, I was actually right about something.  The Sox did comeback from down 3 games to 1 to defeat the Cleveland Indians in the 2007 ALCS.  It was an unbelievable team and I have been thrilled to watch them all year.  Beckett came through again in game 5 and the offense exploded at Fenway.  Sox got it done and they have reached their 2nd world series in 4 years.

An AL Title is great, but obviously the Sox still have one more job to do and that's to win the World Series against the red hot Colorado Rockies.

OK, so my NL pick was completely wrong in the World Series.  In fact, I picked the Rox to get eliminated in the first round.  All they did is sweep both the NLDS and NLCS.  I picked the Cubbies to win the NL pennant, and they got swept themselves in the first round.  But, I did have the Sox here so I'm half right...not all that bad.  Now, hopefully this prediction comes true for all of RED SOX NATION!!!!!

The Rox have won an outstanding 21 of 22.  It is one of the best runs of all time and they are red hot.  But, a layoff of over a week may hurt the Rox.  After being in must win mode for 3 weeks playing almost every day, they've had to sit around for 8 days with no Major League action.  They are well rested, but the Sox have had 2 days of rest and are also red hot.  Both teams have momentum, but the Sox have more, especially starting the series at home.  The Rox did take 2 out of 3 @ Fenway this season, beating Beckett and Schilling, game 1 and 2 starters, respectively.  But June doesn't really matter.  It's a different team and a different Beckett which leads me into my predicion.

Josh Beckett will be outstanding again, shutting down a team with too much rest.  Although Francis will pitch well, the Sox will pull it off in Game 1.  Schilling will help lead the Sox to a 2-0 lead, as he pitches a solid game and gets more help from the Sox offense.  Back in Colorado, the Rox come alive in front of an amazing crowd.  Dice-K struggles early and the Rox take advantage for a huge, blowout win.  However, the Sox bounce back in game 4, hitting the heck out of rusty Cook.  Lester pitches well enough to win and the Sox silence the loud Denver crowd.  Facing elimination, the Rox bounce back in Game 5 off Josh Beckett.  Yes, Beckett actually loses.  Francis pitches the game of his life and the Rox find a way to get 3 runs off Beckett and hold on for a 3-2 victory to force game 6.  This momentum is quickly stopped as the Sox come out ready at home in Game 6.  With Schilling on the mound for potentially the last time, he shuts down the door again and the Sox pound their way to a victory.  Unlike 04, Sox celebrate a World Series title at home and are crowned champs for the 2nd time in 4 years.

Don't know how accurate that will be, but the Sox will win this series and my prediction is still 6 games, no matter in what order it gets done.  I predict 2 unbelievable starts for Schilling at home will make him the favorite for the World Series MVP, along with Big Papi who will once again come through in the clutch.

LETS GO RED SOX!
